It has been a couple of weeks now with the backyard beehive, and I must say what a great way to wake up each morning and watch them coming and going, and coming and going. Fine way to start a day!
This hive is growing faster and faster each day, more bees, more pollen, more activity in general. Overall I would say that the number bees has more than doubled since the last post. Check out the ‘textbook’ brood comb pattern above.
The queen – yikes! She’s a frisky one! Took a while to get her slow down long enough for a little photo opportunity. . . note the circular formation of the queen’s court.
