Who’s a Rising Star? Worker B!
Worker B is a Rising Star Award Finalist in the Beauty/Fragrance Entrepreneur category!
Worker B is one of Fashion Group International’s Rising Star Award finalists! Pretty exciting stuff: We were first notified of being a nominee way back in November and, low and behold, we made it through the first round of voting and have been upgraded to ‘finalist!’
Check out the complete list of finalists and all of the different categories here.
The Rising Star awards event is next week in New York City – stay tuned for results. . .and maybe a few pictures of Worker B all dressed up!
In the meantime, here’s a couple of pictures of the display board we made up for the voting:

Lotion Bar Review on Style Apothecary
Worker B’s Lotion Bar was reviewed this week by Style Apothecary!
Here’s a snippet to get you started:
“The Lotion Bar is a great introduction to the Worker B line. I have been using this bar every day and it’s been a good source for dry skin relief – I don’t know what it is but once November and December roll around my skin goes into all-out parchmetn mode. My eczema acts up, and my skin gets so darn dry. This lotion bar has been combatting that in a big way. What I like most about this bar is I can target whatever area needs relief the most; hands, elbows, arms, even the back of my feet if you can believe it all benefit from this bar – even my lips! What else I like about it is. . .”

Worker B on the Radio!
Exciting morning this past Saturday for Worker B! We were featured on AM950′s “Fresh and Local” radio show!
Check out highlights from the broadcast below – a four-parter with all sorts of good stuff! But first, here is an excellent post from The Noble Plate to get you warmed up:
“I have heard these two referred to by the other growers at the Minneapolis Farmers Market as “incredibly talented and hard working”. To be labelled as “industrious” by a farmer is a pretty impressive feat, yet industrious doesn’t quite cover it. Mike and Liesa are whole-heartedly dedicated to local foods, healthy beekeeping, and organic growing practices. Not only do they produce and sell their own brand of Worker B skin care products, but they double as vendors for Swede Lake farms (who grow several varieties of garlic and other high quality organic vegetables). These two seem to have a great deal of fun in everything they do.”
On to the broadcast!

This post comes to us from new friends in Olympia Washington – Compass Rose! Read what they they think of the Worker B Balm!
“So, I am always on the lookout for a “great” lip balm, and what Liz and I found in New York is that and so much more. We met Liesa and Michael, two of the three people that make up Worker B, at the NY Gift show and were immediately pulled in by their beautiful, handmade booth. Their company is small and based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a team they create hand-crafted lotions and balms with beeswax, raw honey, and organic oils, such as avocado. They are proud of their locally sourced product and the beekeepers they help to support. Worker B collaborates with several local bee-keepers, between the ages of 17 and 70– now that is all kinds of bee-keeping know-how!”
